Expats holding drivers license, re-entry only after 2 years

I stumbled upon a post from Arab Times regarding the new rule for those expats holding drivers license. According to the post quoting Al-Qabas Daily's reliable source, "Re-Entry Only After 2 Years" for those expats holding Kuwait valid drivers license that cancels residency and exits Kuwait.

Here is the full excerpt of the post:

"General Immigration Department and the General Traffic Department have agreed to prevent a driver who cancels his residency and leaves the country from coming back to the country by the same profession, noting such individuals will only be allowed entry to country after two years, reports Al- Qabas daily quoting a reliable source."

"He added the decision applies to ‘Mandoub’ holding Article 18 visa of the private sector. He indicated the decision necessitates withdrawing driving license from those who change their profession after obtaining driver’s license and their new professions don’t meet the conditions for driving license, adding the new procedure aims to control visa trafficking. In the same context, Immigration Department and the Criminal Evidences Department at a recent meeting agreed on a new mechanism of resolving delays in receiving the result of fingerprint done by residents who want to renew their residencies, noting results of fingerprint will be sent."

"A security source said the decision has been made following several complaints the sector received on the issue, stressing that fingerprint normally delays for nearly 30 to 45 days. He reiterated the decision does not include the newcomers whose fingerprints are sent to the State Security System for review and security approval."
