Speaking of being a TDS student, above is a glimpse of all the assignments, activities and tasks given to us to fulfill before Traders Den will admit you as a student. During my time, I'm lucky to be one those who's been taught for free. I'll be forever grateful to Traders Den. Maraming salamat po sa learning.Selection Process / Filtering
So, I used CALMA strategy to filter / select stocks by looking at the following parameters:
- Price should be above the ALMA line.
- CCI line is pointing upward and about to cross the 100 CCI line level.
- Volume, preferable if it is increasing and above average and above 1 million.
- Risk measured from intended buy price to nearest ALMA line break of the price should not be more than 5%.
Once a stock qualifies all the above listed parameters (just like the screenshot above), I will mark this stock and keep in watchlist feature of InvestaTrade. Simultaneously, I created also a watchlist in MyTrade and include the stock. Since $RFM and three other stocks qualified the parameters, I included them in InvestaTrade watchlist and below MyTrade watchlist.
Why I keep these stocks in both MyTrade and InvesTrade watchlists?
1. To easily navigate and click these stocks whenever I wanted to re-check their qualification of the parameters and if its time to buy at EOD.
2. To monitor the TOP price in MyTrade watchlist so that I can enter my bid 1 tick above the TOP price to make sure that I will be able to buy shares at EOD price.
Once, I entered and bought 1400 shares of $RFM, I used to check if there's sell signal only at EOD while keeping in mind that last 7 July was the Ex-date of dividend for $RFM.
On 6 July, a day before ex-date, the sell signals appear at EOD. Nag-uunahan na kasing mag-exit dahil ex-date na kinabukasan. The tricky part is that nag 5.70 pa ang price before mag trade at last. The closing price was revealed at the TOP price (5.64). So, I bid for the flooring price and exited the trade. Sold at 5.64.
Trade Result
So after closing the trade regardless of the result, just take the lesson learned, journal the trade and move on. I recorded the trade on PL Trades (online journal) and then my excel journal. A laughable 72.67 pesos gain is the result. But I traded well, by following my strategy.
Why I'm doing all these?
Ang hirap kaya mag trade, mag journal, tapos mag blog at videos pa about all these things tapos ang liit naman ng gain, lugi pa nga minsan.
So, obviously guys my reason is not to brag. My reasons are the following.
- To share what I learned by blogging and making videos about it is to journal and document it. And by doing so, it allows me to re-check and double check what I'm doing and it added to my learning.
- Sharing is caring. Sana may natutunan din yong nanonood or nagbasa ng blog na ito.
- Learning trading or investing in the stock market is part of my broader learning to convert my earned income (ordinary income from my job) as an OFW to Portfolio Income (income from paper assets like stock shares, bonds, UITF etc.) and Passive Income (income from real estate like rental property).
"Basic Rule# 2 - The goal is to convert ordinary earned income into portfolio or passive income as efficiently as possible according to "Rich Dad's Guide to Investing book" by Robert Kiyosaki.
I wanted to retire and go home for good as an OFW from nothing to something.
Kaya samahan ninyo ako sa journey na ito kung paano yumaman by converting our income as an OFW to build portfolio and passive income to replace our OFW income and go home for good na merong alternative source of income. Also, I will share with you guys how I started a Vulcanizing Shop business in 2024 while I'm working as an OFW and my plan to acquire another business (carwash) this year 2026. Cheers!
