Philippine Embassy Kuwait: Temporarily unable to issue OEC's

The Philippine Embassy in Kuwait according to a source is temporarily unable to issue OEC (Balik Mangagawa) to OFW's working in Kuwait. The embassy run out of OEC forms that they must get from Philippines.

This situation was brought upon by the strikes that were going on in Kuwait that started a week ago. Kuwait is in under pressure for strikes in the aviation sector.


But this is temporary only since the strike halted. It is just a matter of days to get those forms and start issuing again.

Meanwhile, OFW's who intends to go for vacation were advised to bring with them copy of their employment contract to secure OEC in the Philippines.

An employment contract duly signed by the employee and the employer is  mandatory for all OFW's wanted to secure OEC.

    Magandang araw din po. Sa pagkakaalam ko po ay pwedeng kumuha ng OEC sa ating embahada. Kailangan nyo lang dalhin ang inyong passport, ticket, or e-ticket at ang inyong kontrata sa inyong employer.

    Ang pagkakaalam ko po from 8 a.m. till 1 p.m. ay processing po tapos ang releasing ay from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., pero di ako gaanong sure. Medyo matagal na kasi akong hindi nakavisit doon. Anyway pag bumisita po kayo paki post na lang po kong ano talaga ang recent timing nila para din po sa kalaman ng ibang bibisita sa blog na ito.

    Kailangan po ng Passport, Employment agreement (Contract) at e ticket or ticket.

    good pm po,puede mag tanong,meron akong inaply ne past port para sa anak ko,last 2011 pa d ko pa nakuha puede ko ba pa kunin, or baka may finalty na, at meron ba amnesty itong 2013.at yung anak ko di naka alis during last amnesty dahil,nung flight namin malakas ang hangin,kailangn ko pa pagawaan ng bagong travel duc. ulit

    Passports that were unclaimed after six months from the supposed release date will be forfeited. This is as per the circular released from the Embassy.

    My friend went on vacation to phils, she has valid visa till 2014, when she tried to come back, POEA refused to give her OEC due to 4 months valid passport, now she is renewing the passport, when she obtains the new passport, does she needs any other documents other than OEC? please let me know i could let her know.

    Hindi nb nagbbgay ng balik manggagawa ngayon dto sa kuwait. Totoo b n s pinas n kukuha. Uwi po ako ngyn 26 kailangan ko po reply nyo.

    Ganun ba. Bukas ba ng 25 at 26 ngyn february db holiday yun dto sa kuwait. Sa 26 ksi flight ko 25 kuha aq blik mangagawa mabigyan kya aq nun.

    Ask ko lng po kung okey lng b me kumuha ng oec khit malapit n expired ng visa ko.wala po bng magiging problema un kadi balik ako bgo mag exprd.need ko po reply?

    The best move is to renew your visa before going for vacation if the validity is less than six months to avoid any problem.

    There could be changes I can't tell exact amount. Payment for OEC in my experience may include Pag-ibig, OWWA and Balik Manggagawa. Maybe you should bring at least KD 15, it would be more than enough. You may post here hpw much is the exact exact amount for the benefit of other readers.

    I took my OEC also on April 2013. I am also going for 45 days vacation. OEC is valid for 2months or 60 days from issuance, which means if you are going for vacation for two or more months you should not get OEC from the embassy, instead get it from Phil. In your case (just like my case) which is only for 45 days, it is possible.

    Wala po ako sa posisyon na sagutin ang katanungan po regarding sa ganitong subject. But based on my experience tuwing Feb po sila nagbibigay. Since April na po ngaun maaring wala po this year.

    Ang employment contract po ay maaring makukuha sa iyong current sponsor/employer. Yan po may kopya sa inyong personnel file na normally hawak ng inyong HRD.

    Ipa check po ninyo ang status ng inyong contribution sa pagibig at SSS sa Embassy at mag advise po sila kung ano ang mga kailagang gawin.

    Depende po sa visa article ninyo. Kung kayo po ay visa 18, okay na po ang eticket at original passport. Sa visa 20, kailangan po ng eticket, original passport at employment contract.

    sir ano ang dapat gawin ng pinsan ko,,kasi tumakas sya sa dating employer nya.ngayon pumasok sya katulong din pero yong mga papel nya hindi nya dala..pasport copy lng meron sya..anong dapat gawin?pls let me know po...

    Sir good eve po ask ko lang po Kung me amnesty po now 2014 and mga what month po Kayla kasi po run away Ako Pero Nakuha ko po passport ko.. Meron po ko copy ng papers ko xerox po and ask ko din po how long po application for travel documents thanks po Anafel Egana name ko po.

    Hi! Pasensya na po at medyo natagalan ang sagot ko sa tanong na ito. Honestly, di ko kasi alam ang sagot. Tanging ang gobyerno lang po dito ang may alam kung kailan. Mag antay na lang po tayo ng announcement.
