What men should know in their 40's?

"Life begins at 40"

This is an idiom that I always heard from my father and uncles when I was a teenager. I don't have any idea what exactly it means.

As I grow older, I slowly understand what it means, especially now that I'm now in my late 30's. I realize that when you reach 40 -- it is when you can enjoy your life and explore new things that you never imagine you can still do. Do you think life begins at 40?
